Maybe I'm missing something somewhere, but I haven't been able to confirm where/when the British GP will be broadcast in the US this coming weekend. I know practice and qualifying are on SPEED, live. But I have sen two conflicting times for the race on Sunday on FOX. In a Bob Varsha article on the SPEED web site, there is mention of "British GP, live on Fox." The FOX web site doesn't list morning programming, only evening prime time, so can't confirm there. DirecTV web site has the race as 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Sunday, implying a delayed broadcast. Anybody got the straight poop on this ? Seems that two broadcast networks, one owned by the other, should be able to put a clear schedule on their sites!!

Consider its FOX. I thought it was to be tape delayed and shown a 1 or 2PM Eastern time.

I always have a hard time with Fox finding listings. But I went to TVGuide.com and it shows the race at Noon CST on Fox.

According to my listings it's on Fox Sports (channel 2 in my area, West Coast) at 10:00 AM Sunday July 6

As I understand it Fox broadcasts four races a year.

Thanks for the input. As a safety measure, we can all watch practice and qualifying and see what the SPEED announcers say in more nearly real time !

This is supposed to be the last one on fox this year right? I think it was just 3 with this one being the third. I hope so, I can't stand when its on Fox. They leave out the pre race interviews and they only interview the race winner at the post race.

Fox is just doing another taped delay, so we miss the pre race interviews and the after race interviews, and instead we get Papa John & Bridgestone commercials jammed down our throats. Thank God for Fast Forward.

Don't forget about the MLB and NASCAR adds that come on and take over half the screen usually when the FIA are putting some sort of informative speed/sector time/place graphic on.

These times are what I have seen too, except that the "S" in the acronyms above is for Standard time, which is in the winter. Right now, the U.S. is on "Daylight "time, so the times should read:
    1 PM EDT
    12 PM CDT (noon)
    11 AM MDT
    10 AM PDT

Okay, ending pedantic mode in... NOW! (sorry about that) The surest way to get the correct time for the race broadcast is to watch the practice and/or qualifying broadcast(s).

At the beginning of the year, I understood it to be four consecutive GPs on FOX for 2008. I'm pretty sure the British and German GPs will initially be shown on FOX. SPEED usually re-broadcasts the races initially shown on FOX later in the week.
