    Wonder what's up with Ferrari and Williams - less than 25 minutes remaining in session one and no appearance from either team nor from Trulli. Same old same old - de la Rosa and Zonta swapping 1 & 2. The two Renault's had high S2 times compared to the others times.

    Kimi's on top of the board now - should be his game unless he goes kaboom again. Friesacher had some sort of oop's on S2. 19 minutes remaining and Michael and Rubens appear.

    Session one completed and no lap times from Trulli nor the Renaults (maybe they should stick with the Phoenix in lieu of flower power!).

    S1 speed for de la Rosa 321 kph whereas MS was 312 kph. It's just a test session!

    the Renaults did not post a lap time what are they protesting again????

    I fave to agree Fidays times are meaningless as the 3rd drivers tend to do the most laps and everyone is trying fo find a nice balance on there car and see what tires to use for the rest of the weekend.

    I wonder whether any teams will run with black noses? Ferrari, Mc Laren, Williams perhaps?

    The Jordan cars are running with black noses.

    There will also be a 1 minute silence on Sunday before the start of the GP.

    HOLY **** Ricardo Zonta just did a 1:18:964 going 1.2 seconds faster than anyone else. That is 0.2 off the fastest ever lap at Silverstone.

    De la Rosa just did a 1:18:589. A new lap record at Silverstone.

    Not even close.

    The fastest lap set at Silverstone during a race weekend was a 1:18.233 by Raikkonen last year during qualifying.

    The absolute lap record at Silverstone is also held by Raikkonen, a 1:16.150, set on the 15th of September 2004 during testing.

    Man this is looking like a McLaren cake walk for this race if they can keep the cars together.

    THat's a big IF. On one hand I want the cars to hold up as I'd love to see KR give FA a run for the championship. On the other hand I'd like to see McL with problems as it should give KR added incentive to get out and (hopefully) go to Ferrari. Not to mention I can't stand Dennis.

    Although I agree that the Mc Laren/Kimi combo is the fastest on the grid, I can't help but thinking that Renault is a) sandbagging (practice 2) and b) saving their engine (practice 1).
