Weather looks good but expect a wet qualy potentially! Silverstone Weekend Weather Forecast - weather.com Cool at only 20C on race day. Mediums and hard tyres are the choice this weekend. PlanetF1 Preview 10 for the race: Preview 10: British Grand Prix | Planet F1 | Formula One | Features | Race Features -Qualy- LH Nico Ricciardo -Race- Nico LH Ricciardo I know my picks are none to exciting but we have dominant team and then its all the rest. I expect LH to have his game ready but Nico has the luck for now. Could go either way. The real excitement will be what goes on behind the Mercedes, if we have the normal weekend with them at the front. Wish I could be there it should be a good race as the track is fantastic. Honors for JB's dad to be all around. Will be nice for JB.
Snorefest race. Not even bothered to go this year, would have more fun driving up there in the early hours in the 599 than the race will be. Merc will win, Williams may get the next places as thee are decent straights at silver stone, and they have a good top end. Ferrari fifth to tenth, no better, haven't the speed to challenge for a podium
Aww Sid I was hoping I could catch a lift.. I can't drive at min.. One would expect Ham to take this one, pole and race, so it won't probably happen.
I still like F1 but I understand the Daytona355 perspective of course. Its still a great race, a traditional and fun race. We have had many years of predictable dominance. F1 does retain the ability to surprise on many occasions and the fight within Mercedes is fascinating.
Ham was quick here last year. Hoping for Rosberg though. I want some off track excitement for the next few weeks to talk about. Conspiracies and all that. .
This is a fast power track requiring excellent downforce. I don't think Red Bull will be in the running for a podium (power) and nor will Williams (downforce). I'm going to go out on a ledge here and say Mclaren will be the ones following Mercedes by some 30 seconds.
Marcus erikson is gonna clinch pole I think Qualy 1 Hamilton 2 ****berg 3 bottas Race 1 Hamilton 2 ****berg 3 alonso
Going way out on a limb here, but I predict that Max Chilton will finish near the back. Finish is the exciting word here.
Interesting thoughts!! Id like to see JB do well here. I think he has never been on the podium from what I read on SKY.
Mate, if you are ever down this way (Bristol), give me a ring, and we'll go for a coffee, mend bridges etc. I just can't face silver stone traffic coming home with Ferrari looking like lame horses....... utterly pointless going. I assume you are Manchester ish, lancs, direction?
I hear you mate, thanks. I'am between Liverpool and Manchester, depending on how I'am feeling my accent switches between the two.. I like to think am more Manc than scouse.. After my op, I did think I would fool my dad and only speak Spanish (I know enough to get by) and just pretend I didn't know any English, but he was so glad I was alive I couldn't do it..
Hahaha, would've been sweet, for about ten seconds, cos you'd have had to tell him in case he started buying you sombreros and dodgy leather goods to sell! Along the same lines, I went on a stag weekend recently, and one of the guys was trying his hardest while under the influence to bag a cutie we brought back. He ended up sleeping next to her, and so I took a photo of them together in bed. I then changed his phone to show my number as his wife, and texted him the picture, under which I wrote 'who the f*** is that?' I woke him up, passed him his phone and said he had a text. He nearly died right there, and I let him panic for about five seconds before I had to tell him as he went a funny shade of purple!
Button's fate will be decided on the strength of his performance this weekend. If he keeps on with his lame excuses and blames the car, he will be out end of season. If he looks like trying his hardest, even at the risk of an off-road, he may have a chance to keep his drive next year.
It was absolutely hilarious. He's a big tough chap, done time etc, and he was reduced to a jabbering wreck for a fews seconds, priceless. I'm sure I will get it back at some point though
I'm sure Alonso will drag his dog of a Ferrari further up the qualifying grid than it deserves to be by use of pure brute driving skill, once again giving this tifoso plenty of false hope. But then, during the race, he'll fall back to mid pack where the car belongs, bringing tears to the eyes of the tifosi and demonstrating once again that my new home country of Italy is well and truly part of the third world now. ................. Sigh.
