I'm certainly not a jet owning world traveler but I have been to more remote airfields in Africa than most and it seems like a bit of a gimmick. Unless it's someplace where people feed the animals they will be scared off when you land. If it is someplace where you feed the animals then you gotta figure out how to get them to go away, can't have a monkey FOD'ing out an engine. Then you gotta figure out what to do when the locals show up and start trying to sell you stuff or just trying to see what you are up to. Even in the middle of nowhere Ethiopia it took a small team to keep them from wandering into the prop arcs or around on the runway.

What would be really neat is something that can fly slow and low to get a good view from the air. A blimp would be awesome.
