I dropped my key ring today, and the little metal piece broke. So sad. Looks like the originals are no cheap. Do you think this piece can be welded back together? Any other options. It looks like you can get repro’s on eBay for about $35: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrari-Key-Ring/253330886407?_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20140107095009&meid=61a3f1cf52df4b5aa898214f08982993&pid=100040&rk=1&rkt=4&sd=253330886407&itm=253330886407&_trksid=p2046732.c100040.m2060 But, there is something nice about having the original. Dom, I'll look when I get home next week, I think I have one you can have. Gotta find it though in my basement.
Decent jeweler should be able to fix that for ya. All you have to do is find one!! What luck!!! My nephew is a really skilled jewelry maker and designer. Works for Brooks Brothers in the design department, but makes his own stuff as well. He's in nyc. I can drop him a note with a picture, see what he thinks. Also sent you a PM with another option. Dave
Thanks guys. Dave, pm replied to. I’d be curious to see what your nephew thinks. My sister in law is a jeweler, may ask her too. Ken: if you find the keychain, you may not want to give it away. Checking eBay, it looks like these originals are going for $500-1000. At this point, I’m not willing to pay these crazy prices, as I just spent big bucks on my major service. My wife would shoot me. If I can get mine fixed reasonably that might be the way to go, otherwise, maybe a repro for now, then at some later date consider replacing with another original.
I would probably buy a good quality reproduction and just use the ring piece fitted on the original enamel badge.

That is 100% repairable and a good lazer welder will fix it without even affecting the surrounding chrome. A repair like that should be a while you wait deal for a little cash. Totally worth fixing.
If it were anything else it would be easy to repair but spring steel may not do well to the heat of welding/brazing. Would look fine and work for a bit then break. YMMV.
Original Lorioli keyfobs MUST have a different rear pattern: I don't know what that keyholder shown in your picture is. This shown here below is mine personal one, delivered with the car. ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login
Agree, w/ Albert - the lettering stamp on an original is very clear/sharp. The one in the original post appears to be a repro, which probably explains why it broke.
There is no image of the stamp on the back of the original - only an image of the ring. There's one of someone else trying to sell some...
Right -sorry, I thought that pic of front/back was a pic of the one that was broken. So Instead of breaking because it was a poor quality repro, maybe it broke because the originals were poor quality!
Well, considering the car is well over 40 years old, and if the keychain is original to my car, that’s not a bad run. Still haven’t gotten a chance to take it to a jeweler to see about repair. In retrospect, I probably should have put the keychain away with the original manuals and tool set instead of using it. What was I thinking, actually using my Ferrari Knick knacks. Can you believe that. I heard that some people even drive their cars. Outrageous.
Ok, you've had time enough. Did you find a jeweler to try to fix it? Did you trash and which landfill did it go to? Do you buy a replica? Do you still drive your car OUTSIDE where the weather is?? Amazing!!
I bought one from the link on eBay and received it today. I think it looks really good and would make a satisfactory replacement Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Ugh, couldn’t locate mine. Maybe it’s not even in the basement, I could’ve sold it and not remembered lol. I found this one though. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Whoda known there was a town called Milano in China and another A.E. Lorioli company making cool key fobs!
