    Hey, he was only banned for one day, his choice not to be here now is his.

    I didn't even know about the Bruce thing until looking over the moderator log this morning. Wayne took care of the thread and MarkPDX worked with Bruce on trying to trace it.

    Bruce just emailed me that everything was fine now.

    i think someone should trace the IP address of the person who posted as Bruce in that one thread and find out where it came from; the person(s) posting under variations of my login is in Albany... That narrows it down quite a bit, however, the IP doesn't match any regular users... Could be that it's being done from a library or a friend's house or whatever; i'm almost positive that it's a regular member, though, since the person used a name like "Sickspeed", which i haven't used in months...

    For the record NNO and everyone behaved themselves who ever the interloper was there seemed to be no one willing to take the bait (NICE CHANGE EVERYONE) but WTF was up with the Bruce thing?

    I thought it was a little fishy when he didn't type in CAPS, although he has strayed from the norm before. Shortly thereafter I was speaking with him on the phone and he said that he hadn't been on in hours! Why target Bruce I wonder?

    Ohh I'm getting so sick of this. He left the site because of the NNO flame war a couple weeks ago. He came back 5 days later. He then broke the Bikini Thread rules so I tested out the new software’s 1 day ban on him and Enjoythemusic. Dave threw a fit, created an alias id, blah blah blah while Enjoythemusic honored the ban, used his time off to think of something value adding for the community, and then discussed it once the ban was over. Dave has left again by his own choice and we have bets going when he'll return. :D

    No real info, I can tell that a few users that have visited Bruce's house have posted from his computer, but it looks like this user used a dynamic AOL gateway and the potential suspects are now at about 200. :(

    When I saw the thread title "A********", I thought it was guys dogging around but didn't open to read posts. I remember one time Bruce was trying to get a fight, pissed, or something before here, so I thought he must be stressed out!

    It is surprising to hear someone will take other's account like that. And glad to hear everything is back to normal for Bruce.

    How can one be careful to avoid things like this?

    Well, I was very concerned when this happened and contacted Bruce about it. If there was a bug in the system that would allow this, then I would need to know about. However, Bruce assured me that I shouldn't be worried about it. I don't know how it was done and maybe Bruce knows a little more, but I trust him that it's something that won't be easily duplicated.
