That wasn't made for anyone special, it's just some company that has decided to make Bentley shooting breaks. They have been distributing this one to get interest. I think they wanted like 500,000 USD for it. There was an article about it in the December (I think) Robb Report.
that yellow F40 is nice.Another good collection is at the Marconi Museum.http://www.marconimuseum.org/ or http://www.fast-autos.net/features/marconi/ Also i heard that the Sultan lost alot of money when his brother or something like that kept spending it and spending it all on things like gold toilet seats and stuff and he ended up Exiling him.some stuff about the sultan of squat now (not that 10 billion isnt alot of money but compared to 40 billion id say thats one hell of a shoping spree)http://autozine.kyul.net/article/brunei/sultan.htm or http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Zeroes/Sultan_Brunei.html
thanks zjpj. I don't like it, looks like a hearse does anyone know what mags the collection was covered in? i know autocar, anyone know which issue of autocar it was?
The some of the Bentleys and Rolls Royces were like this. I jokingly offered $90k for a two year old Azure which needed a new interior (it was total junk). My offer was politely declined, but I was told that I didn't have to up it by much to get the car.
Wow...if you happen to have pictures, I would be curious to see just how bad these were. I am assuming probably had only about 1,000 miles on the car from the impression I got from your other post, would that be right? Should have seen how much they would sell for. You can PM the pics to me if you like. Let me know. Thanks!
That black 512 M...that picture is from Cavallino...lol i have the same pic of it next to the silver F50...its in front of the breakers...i dont thnik it was the sultans car.....it has ostrich interior...it could be though...now that i think about it...who does that to a 512 m!???
I have been told by someone who inspected some of the cars that many of the Ferraris had a lot of mould, rust and damage. Of the Ferraris that came to NZ, the highest mileage car I know of was 33,000kms at import and the lowest was 300 kms Regards Andrew in NZ
seems like the sultan himself is indulging himself: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2004042027,00.html
Thanks for the link to the article on the Sultan. Last I heard he was in pretty deep and was forced to sell of a very lage number or his car fleet. Which is why a lot of them are coming to light for all of us car fanatics.
yay, it got bumped back up. I think its cool that the cars are coming out, but as many people have said, the condition of the cars are bad so it would be a money pit. I'd only get a rare one off car becuase of these reasons, no point buying a 355/550 from there, the money you spend fixing it would total more than a nicer newer one
i just found the site that had the white F40 pictures on it, it had one i hadn't seen from the back http://www.benibuta.com/ferrari/benilife/2001_WhiteF40.html
