I knew him. Not well but did some business with him. He died in 2000 at the age of 98. He owned a construction company called Latrobe Construction, some stone quarries, and a lot of real estate. Very successful businessman. Had a son Bruno Ferrari jr. I don't know if he is still living.

Hi Nick, my great-grandmother was Elide Ferrari. She was Bruno's eldest sibling. How are you related to Bruno?

Bruno was born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania the 6th child of 7 total children born to Angelo Ferrari and Ferian Maria Sichi (a.k.a. Maria) on April 1st, 1902. Angelo and Maria were Italian immigrants who came to the United States in the 1890s. Their 3 oldest children were born in Italy. The family eventually settled in the Holidays Cove area of West Virgina which eventually grew to become Weirton, West Virginia, just west of Pittsburgh, PA. His father and elder brothers established a transfer and express company by 1910 in the Holidays Cove area and when old enough Bruno joined them. When the depression hit, Bruno wanted to expand the company but is father and oldest brother were concerned that they would fail. So, they sold the company (or the assets) and Bruno ultimately made his way to Latrobe, Pennsylvania. He established a new company there called B. Ferrari General Contracting which in time would change its name to be Latrobe Construction Company. Among other things, they built a lot of highways around the greater Pittsburgh area. Bruno lived to be 98 years old.

Nick you and I are long lost relatives. I knew your grandfather and your father, your grandfather was my Uncle. And as you know I also knew Bruno as he married our aunt. I was born and raised in Weirton.
