Wow, so just catching wind of this now after discussing Mr. Ingram with a friend this morning. Looks like Buddy Sherrill has passed this past week as well.

Many don't know, but Buddy has been a long-time owner of FCI since the 90s. He was never out front, as the management is handled by Paramount, but he had a long line of significant cars, loved driving manuals, and was quite the character.

I've heard a lot of different things over the years about the ownership arrangement, but have no idea what's true or not and frankly always viewed it as irrelevant bc Buddy really just cared about the cars.

I actually have a lot of fun memories of Buddy. One is when he found a Daytona Spyder with probably the lowest miles in the US, but he really just wanted it for the interesting bronze color and was downright giddy about it. Another is how he'd fight with Ferrari about getting a manual 599 and I believe we ordered two for him as a result. He once drove his 550 Barchetta up to VIR and tracked it the whole weekend, but then was too beat to return back with it, so I got to ride home to GSO in it.

There's really too many great stories to tell, and I don't know what else to say as I process the 1-2 punch of losses this week.

As I read this I'm laying on one of two matching Sherrill couches that flank my fireplace.
Hardwood framed, eight way hand tied coils, down stuffing, wool herringbone fabric.
He had the right stuff in many ways!
