hello, is bugatti's rebirth in the united states worth adding to the f-chat site? so far there's miller motor cars in conneticut, bentley gold coast in illinois, and symbolic motors in california. a legendary french marquee reborn in italy (and died there) now under german ownership... anyone care here? regards joseph
If you mean another forum, then no (imho) Is it worth mentioning, yes, although I like the EB110 better.
I agree with you about the looks. But of course the VEYRON is the far better car than the EB 110. The EB 110 is wonderfully made in high quality with a gear-driven engine - but very difficult to work on as the complete rear body panels must be removed for a major service. The EB110 SS is far better made in the interior than the standart version that looks a bit cheap inside. To drive the car in the wet is also not very nice as the geometry of the front axle supports aquaplaning. Nevertheless, a very fast car that holded the speed record until the McLaren F1 came up. The VEYRON has bullet-prove build-quality. The german TÜV-regulations -the toughest worldwide!- requested special tests for components (suspension, transmission, body-structure, glas-test etc.) that had to struggle with vibrations at high speed that is possible -in theory!- on the German Autobahn. Ciao! Walter
We have sold ten, have one in the showroom right now and I believe our first car is being delivered to a client later this month. I am hardly a fan of any new automobiles but nothing I have ever been in even comes close to these things. The build quality is far above anything done by Ferrari, Mercedes, etc... On par with Bentley but even better from every aspect etc... The price is being raised by the Factory later this month another 100K euros and production is well underway. I seriously doubt the new price increase will affect sales in anyway. Cheers, Bill Noon
For those of us who do not know who you are can you identify yourself and the company you are refering to that sold the cars you mention. thanks.
I can only assume that he is the Bill Noon of Symbolic Motors in CA. Active in historic racing as well IIRC.
Very cool. Has anyone looked at the required maintenance program and schedule? I've heard there are some very specific requirements, although this market segment probably does not concern itself much with that. Does it require service every 3,000 miles? 15,000 miles? It would be interesting to see if the benchmark engineering and build quality is reflected in reliability/servicability. That would be impressive to me. I used to read that while the McLaren F1 was a spectacular achievement, it was notoriously finicky prone to overheating and a maintenence hog. These days to well surpass 200 mph while remarkable is not uncommon - to do it reliably over time with ease would be a benchmark. I for one hope they pull it off.
As far as I know Bentley Gold Coast is not an authorized Bugatti dealer. The only ones in the US are: Bugatti of Beverly Hills, CA Miller Motorcars in Greenwich, CT Braman Motors, Miami, FL Rusnak Automotive Group, Pasadena, CA Symbolic Motor Car Co., La Jolla, CA Suburban Motors Company, Troy, MI
What about Silicon Valley Auto Group in Los Altos, CA? They had a Veyron there for a few days as it made the rounds through the dealerships. It was quite an impressive looking car. -steve
hello, their websight lists bentley/bugatti/saleen as factory dealers. chicago is the third largest market in the united states. i think bugatti would want to be selling in this neighborhood. regards, joseph
Bentley Gold Coast is not an authorized dealer yet. They are trying. Right now the Midwest dealer is the Suburban group near Detroit. Bentley Gold Coast is also trying to get the Spyker store for the Midwest too.
I agree! I'm quite surprised the nearest Bugatti dealership is in Troy, MI! I hope Bentley GC gets it (unless LFSC or Continental are trying). Also, I'm surprised LFSC isn't trying to get to be a Spyker dealer. I know they had at least one go through there, and even get serviced there IIRC.
I agree Bill. The ones at Amelia Island totally overshadowed all the other exotics combined and looked way better in real life than in the photos.
Lamborghini Las Vegas, also affiliated with Symbolic, also is in the loop. They had one on display in January.
