I started a new project, car garage one year ago. this is my first real fancy effort. so designing and planning took a year and a half. a lot of dollars($50,000) were spent on architect change request. first off I saw a 12th century street in Mantua Italy, cobble stone. so that became a must. second, I loved the dry lay stone structures, a second must. the beamed ceilings were so beautiful, a third must. so the garage and driveway were determined before I ever wrote or drew a line. I also decided the marble floors were a must. so I started looking on internet sites for old stone buildings, wooden carriage doors, marble castle halls, etc. I started a thread under, 'new garage' in Rosa. that blocked many from seeing this project.

the garage budget started at $50,000. fun. escalated to $250,000 real quick. well I decided that I needed a man cave. good buy that budget now over two million. I stopped. the architect 3 D I posted shows, to the left, an existing brick house 1,500 sq ft.to the right, 2,000 sq ft. garage, 50L X 40' deep. then 1,200 sq ft one room man cave. next 1,600 sq ft patio/pool area. screened.

I decided to jump from warmth to stark modern. So the glass walled cave area. 45'L X 25' H glass walls. All the steel(30 tons) is up. They need another week of welding plates(structure will stand level three tornado) night photo

About the cave. Basement19' X 45' will look like a wine cellar. Slate floor. Stone walls. A car elevator. Basement will hold 8 cars. Personal elevator stops at basement, first, second and third floor. The interior. An orange door. Fire door will stay up so cars can be seen. Black cone is an Italian wood stove. A silver cylinder almost hidden is the elevator. Floor will be polished to look like marble.
