    Hi all,
I changed the bulbs in the speedometer and tach to the brighter ones and was wondering, what about the ones in the other 3 gauges? I did a search and found nothing. Are there replacements bulbs for those too?

The other gauges should accept the Sylvania 3893 as the upgrade. Most people don't bother with the ancillary gauges...the speedo and tach seem most important to see clearly.

    Hey chris..

Funny you should mention this...I'll be doing some work inside my 308s interior this week and wondered about upgrading to brighter bulbs..

So what's the fix? Did you use the 3893 for the Tach and Speedo?

    Thanks..

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

I had sent out my speedometer to get the dial to read 180 instead of the dreaded 85 mph. Just got it back. Looks cool. Anyway i changed all the bulbs today but I can't tell you what the aftermath is on the lights cause, what else is new :(, the battery is dead. Hopefully it will be nice and bright.
    Break out the RayBans!

    Hey Chris..

Which bulbs did you upgrading with..are you using the Sylvainia 3893 for all the guages?

I recently had a gauge repaired also, the clock, sent it out to Arizona..was not real happy with the quality of the work when it was returned.. I would have been better off ordering the part and fixing it myself considering I had to re-do it anyway!

    Thanks

    Paul

    Paul,

The Tach and the three gauges i used the Sylvania 3893 and the Speedo i used the Sylvania 2723. The Speedo are tougher to take out, so take it easy on those plastic clips the bulbs are in.
    Good luck.
    Chris

Thanks again Chris, I'll be picking those up today. Like I said, may as well do it while I'm in there. Pulled door panels last night for a light touch up and speaker replacement, will probably pull gauges tonight.

planning on doing same...saw a thread that these are 5-1/4 did you find that to be correct.. also what depth di you find as max..
I did bulb upgrade but felt it made little diff...I read elsewhere that the rehostat is what makes the guages so damn dim and you have to remove or bypass htat..others like it dim 'cause once they went bright the reflection in the windshield at night was killer ( hey enzo had a heads up display before the 'vett!)

Yeah, I saw that thread also..seems to be a lot of differing info on this topic. One person said that 308's didn't come with radios etc from the factory. Maybe not, could have been dealer installed options etc..

All I know is that when I opened up my doors I found that it had 6" factory dual cone speakers in there! And the doors are uncut. The Yellow Ferrari parts decal on the back says "Ferrari car speaker parts, Ref 61717800" Made in Italy by Autosonik. They're junk at this point.

Lucky for me I've got a set of ADS 336is/PX or something..speakers that I've had stashed away in the closet for awhile. Not sure of the depth. I thought it was going to be too deep but tried it and it fit fine so I guess I'm half way there.

Ok, back to the bulbs..I'm a little surprised that folks are getting the "heads-up-display feel, seems kinda odd since the gauges kinda sit back and the binckle hangs over like a brow.

Let me know how you make out with yours!

    Paul

In the US they did not come with a radio from the 308 to the 355,456,550.

The cars were wired and had speakers and antenna.

The factory radios were junk and it was felt by FNA that the radios would be replaced by the owners so why even include them.
