Yes, fortunately you can stop a Sebring convertible on the rampage with a simple spike strip or a bag of White Castle's

 

Remember when the man stole that tank and went driving around running over everything and they eventually shot and killed the man.

 

Yea I live in Colorado, no where near Granby, but the news was out of control, One of my friends was going to go up too see the thing today but i didnt really feel like going since there will probably be 1,000,000,000,000,000 people there gawking like him and/or the road up there is probably closed

This guy can officially be labeled "crazy bastard" however, he was a prepared crazy bastard too, there was concrete between the armor he applied, he had a supply of food and water(so he was ready to be there for a while) and a whole bunch of guns and gun holes, it is so amazing he was the only one killed, and he did it to himself.

 

If that doesn't do it, you can always stop the [driver] and diffuse his anger by asking him to recite from the Moral Majority Unabridged Dictionary of Political Correctness...which, incidentally, he can do by rote!

Why didn't the police just throw an explosive into the bulldozer's tracks? This guy sure had a lot of bad news in his life (cheating wife, lost father, lost business, back stabbed by town), no wonder he snapped.

 

They should of shot the engine out with a Barrett. 50 Cal AP ammo should go though that steel I think.

I don't know off hand, if there ever was a situation where the military engagement was used against civillians(WACO was under FBI jurisdiction) but there would be a few options if the approval for lethal force were granted:

* dispatch an A-10 to pop off a few rounds in the tractor

* nail it with a Javalin missile or AGM-65(Maverick)

* HUMVEE with a quad .50 turret to 'pound' it out of operation or, if it had a 20mm spent uranium head would pierce that steel with ease.

All of these methods would be deemed 'excessive' by the press, but what if comes down to is that the man in control of the tractor turned the tool into a lethal weapon, unstoppable by your run of the mill beat cop. There's the right tool, for every job.

 

I like the way you think. That A-10 has a crazy gun. In one second it could "pop off" 50 armor piercing rounds and 10 high explosive rounds in sequence. I heard he was going out of his way to not hurt people, but that all looks pretty dangerous... when you start that kinda **** you're pretty much asking to get shot up.
