Damn, this is awful news. Jon is a great guy and a real asset to the community; SD F-chatters, let's get a visit coordinated if he is able to have visitors. Robb, if you get any additional details on his condition from the reporter please PM me. Prayers for Jon and his girlfriend for a full and quick recovery.

I drove pomerado for 15 years. Very dangerous road. Two lanes, no median barrier and very high speeds 60-70 mph. I doesn't help when the other driver is high.

ugh. Read the thread title and thought "what bullfighter? why is a bullfighter getting into an accident news?". Then I got it... :(

Best of wishes coming from TX.

Man, this post has just a little too much foreshadowing: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144569922-post45.html

Just saw his brother in Ohio post on Facebook - so at least they are aware of the incident. Will try to keep the group updated.

So sorry to hear - hope Jon and his friend recover quickly. Less important of course, but also sad at the damage to his lovely car.

Godspeed Bullfighter! Ironically, I'm watching the 5 pm news right now and there is a story on how much pot in your system is ok to drive.

Yes. According to the report, Asian lady in the other car had just hit the pipe. Cop said the "bowl was still warm." So, she was smoking it as she was driving.

That is so ****ty. The ultimate selfish, self-centered act. If I had a family member victimized by somebody under those circumstances I might be tempted to take things into my own hands.

Not only do I hope for a speedy recovery, but I hope the high driver has enough insurance to cover Bullfighter, and his girlfriend's injuries, and vehicle.

Yes his restored speedster must be tipping what $300k? Or are they much higher now?

He gave it a nuts and bolts restoration from the ground up so the Toyota Corolla insurance policy is not likely to be adequate...

I just hope he is aok. We have had some good times together.

Wow, I too saw the title and didn't get it at first. Sorry to see this. Thoughts, prayers, and best wishes for speedy recovery for both of them. It's too bad about the car but even special cars can be replaced. People can't. Hope they are both back out for another Sunday drive in the very near future.

No, not taken out by a Corolla, taken out by a ****ing drug addict.

My heart goes out to Jon, his girlfriend and their families. I am hoping for the best for all of them.

This kind of post is the last one want to read here... Get well soon Jon and his friend.

These drug addicts should be suspended from driving forever once known to the authority!

Wow - what a shock to be reading this. Like many of you, I have never met Jon, but always felt a common bond - not only through F-chat in general, but more specifically we both had a black/tan 328 at one point. I always enjoy his posts, and point of view.

Wishing for the best, and a speedy recovery for Jon & his girlfriend.

This is horrible and infuriating. That stoned wretched creature whom perpetrated this horrific crime should take themselves out of this world.
