Damn, this is awful news. Jon is a great guy and a real asset to the community; SD F-chatters, let's get a visit coordinated if he is able to have visitors. Robb, if you get any additional details on his condition from the reporter please PM me. Prayers for Jon and his girlfriend for a full and quick recovery.

 

I drove pomerado for 15 years. Very dangerous road. Two lanes, no median barrier and very high speeds 60-70 mph. I doesn't help when the other driver is high.

Yes. According to the report, Asian lady in the other car had just hit the pipe. Cop said the "bowl was still warm." So, she was smoking it as she was driving.

 

News like this is so tough to hear. Poor poor guy.

 

That is so ****ty. The ultimate selfish, self-centered act. If I had a family member victimized by somebody under those circumstances I might be tempted to take things into my own hands.

 

Not only do I hope for a speedy recovery, but I hope the high driver has enough insurance to cover Bullfighter, and his girlfriend's injuries, and vehicle.

 

insurance typically doesn't cover you when committing a felony at the time of the accident

 

What a desperately sad situation. I sincerely hope that Jon and his friend are able move forward from this.

Wow, I too saw the title and didn't get it at first. Sorry to see this. Thoughts, prayers, and best wishes for speedy recovery for both of them. It's too bad about the car but even special cars can be replaced. People can't. Hope they are both back out for another Sunday drive in the very near future.

Wow - what a shock to be reading this. Like many of you, I have never met Jon, but always felt a common bond - not only through F-chat in general, but more specifically we both had a black/tan 328 at one point. I always enjoy his posts, and point of view.

Wishing for the best, and a speedy recovery for Jon & his girlfriend.

 

This is horrible and infuriating. That stoned wretched creature whom perpetrated this horrific crime should take themselves out of this world.
