This is so sad. Out for a Sunday drive in your beloved classic car and wham. When I am out in my TR4 I don't think much about my lack of safety equipment because I feel like I am in control. But man, when the idiot crosses the center divider you are toast in these old cars. I live close by to where this all went down. I would be interested if the Fchat community plans on anything related to this.
This is close to home. There have been a bunch of head on crashes in the San Diego area lately. They're analyzing how to stop "these people" getting on the freeways in the wrong direction ... not that this would have helped Jon since it wasn't a freeway and there was a pretty wide median. Prayers to him and his friend for speedy recoveries.
Just saw this post. Totally shocked!!! Years ago, I had some 328 info that I exchanged with Jon. Really a good guy. Wishing him and his girlfriend a speedy recovery.
Just saw this. Agreed that Jon is one of the most respected guys in the 308/328 community. I know he sold his 328 to help fund the resto on his Porsche. He and I have exchanged several PMs over the years. Hang in there Jon! PDG
