https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1956-porsche-356a-speedster-c-12160.htm I believe the Speedster ended up here. It was obviously in rough shape after the accident, but I guess these cars never die.
Like the old saying goes about building a car around a tachometer needle! Good to see you checking in.
Thanks! Still working on getting a (restricted...) driver's license. I had a dream last week that I was driving a 328, so the fire still burns. Or smolders.
OMG that would be awesome! Congrats on getting better and better. This is just the best news all year. Keep at it.
Maybe a 3xx with F1 'box? I'm leaning toward 'assisted shifting' myself........ (edit) Hey! You're back in California! (You're crazy too.......) Great news!
Well it least you're dreaming of driving the best car in the world !! Next step is to turn it into a reality. Glad to have you check in with us buddy, keep it up.
Well... it is the car that brought me the most joy in driving. I’m sure there are “better” cars, but there are more than a few drives that I’ll always remember vividly. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I've been visiting on occasion. But when you're doing driver training in a white hybrid Camry with a steering wheel-mounted spinner knob it's hard to log in here and read about the F8.
What a treat it has been to have Jon racking up some posts.... I can’t afford a F8 so reading about it is just mindless entertainment.....and like all of the numb isolated cars of today, I have no interest anyway. I bought a 2005 Ford GT a year ago and it is raw and visceral just like a supercar should be.
The 355's came with an F1 box and theyre definitely in the drivers camp. And theres 360s on up with dsg. Never thought I would say this about paddles but they work their own magic. Yes stick has something a mechanical dimesion paddles do not,, and while paddles lose some dimensions they add others. Its hard to describe but each is appealing in its own way. It depends on road and eviroment whether paddles or stick shine. Reading your recent posts, theres a ferrari or porche in your future, the only question is which one,and thyere all apealing in their own way.
Finally … Took my first DMV road test since 1982 and I now have my driver’s license back. Restricted, but back. I still don’t have a car, but … that will change. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Words aren’t enough to express the joy in this news. Best wishes on your continued recovery. God speed .
So happy to hear this - congrats. I can appreciate how difficult your journey has been and commend your attitude and perseverance. Props.
