Bullfighter in Hospital - Hit head-on by DUI

While we all care for Jon and his friend and want to know news. Please tell me this is not hearsay.

Not good to hear if unsubstantiated....not even good to drop terrible news on the web.

Just saying can we take this a little bit more in caution

 

Horrific footage... a tragedy.

Geeze I just saw this. Thoughts and prayers. So sad.

 

I am sitting here stunned at this news I just learned.

When Bullfighter posts I know I will read something interesting, informative, and/or thought provoking. Forums are unique in that we can have familiarity with others whom we have never met in person. If it feels like friendship, then it must be, right? So many friends Jon has here on FChat beyond those he has in person.

I hope and pray for a speedy recovery for Jon and his girlfriend. I look forward to a post from Jon someday soon.

 

Can anyone share accurate information, on the two hospitals?

Horrible news. I don't know Jon, but he is a boatload of knowledge and is always willing to share information or make a suggestion to help someone get a car, get back on the road, or send encouragement to a guy trying to overcomd a breakdown. I wish them both a full recovery soon.

 

I saw that video yesterday. It was odd, surreal and a really difficult experience. I could never watch it again.

 

Does Jon have any family?

Mention, early in the thread, of a brother in Ohio....I wish a chatter near would go to the Hospital.

They will let in a visitor (not ICU maybe) but they won't realease any info except to family.

No idea what his gf's name is...??
Or his last name for that matter!

 

Likely "raw" video from a TV crew, given the way the interview was handled.

Was thinking, maybe not good to say but still thinking: at least this happened doing what he loved. Can slip on ice doing nothing but taking out the trash or get mugged on a mundane Monday at the gas station too.

Saw this yesterday and was hoping for the BEST and now watched the video and reading the updates.

Very sad to see and can only pray for them now. all of us

Reviewing all of my no-seatbelt and lap-only seatbelt cars now.

 

When he comes around (praying) It would be cool to see the look on his face when he first sees this thread and how much so many people that have actually never met him care so much!

 

It's not really a consolation right now, but it would. In a crash this bad they would tender the full policy immediately.

I don't think they will release any info to "his Ferrari Club internet friend".....there's Privacy Laws, and you recall the nurse's suicide, in the UK, over the Royal baby.

 

This is absolutely horrible. I don't know what to say. I really hope that he and his girlfriend get better and make a complete recovery. I am so saddened by this. I'm praying for them. Come on, Jon.

 

Never had communication with him, but read alot of his posts. The video was hard to watch. I hope he recovers along with his girlfriend.
Looking at the video, and the way the car was hit, I'm not sure that the extra shoulder belt would have done anything in this case. I know if I'm in my car, and I would have been hit that hard, that way, it would be pretty bad. It seems to me there was nothing he could've done, or prepared for in this case. Terrible accident and I hope there is positive news soon.
