Yes, rules were that we had to drive the speed limit and would get penalites such as time added or kicked off the show for speeding. It was not like the real Bullrun rally or other rallies I've done.

Really? That is pretty interesting to hear, especially from a BULLRUN event. I see that next week, the F150 was going 100+, I am interested to see what happens. Looks like all hell breaks loose.

Also, very intrieged to see if you sold the Lambo yet. What Lambo are you going with next?

Yeah it looks like the F150 was policing the other cars or something. Funny thing is when we were in Washington and had paid for their gas, they passed us at some point. I'm sure it will make for some good drama next week...

    The 40th Anniversary is Jeff's. I have a '93 Ferrari 512 TR and a '91 911 Turbo - both for sale - as I'm going for a Murci.

You paid for their gas?? Even though the Murci has it bad as it is? I felt so bad when the BMW guy forfeited, because I really want that piece of junk civic out. So John, you want to tell us who wins??

Yeah, I can tell you who wins if you have $2M plus attorneys fees.

That was the contract they made us sign. If we leak the outcome, they determined they would be damaged in the amount of $2M, so ask for change from the production company.

Rushdriven I was wondering about when you guys said the clutch was slipping and then you start doing donuts later in the show?

If he doesnt mind me answering, they had the car towed to some place and got it fixed. They were joking about it. But if you are talking about the end, then I cannot answer that.

Actually it never got fixed. We drove very easy most of the time, but Jeff was stupid and kept showing off doing donuts. And the damage to the car was getting to be too much, so that is why we didn't do the last challenge. During the "test" run in the van with the stunt guys, the carpet thing smacked the bottom of the van and then the rope struck the side very hard. This was one of those big Ford metal vans. The Murci had too much carbon fiber too worry about replacing.

    Thats sad.

The rallies I've been involved in were won by coming as close as possible to the pace car's/organizer's time to finish each leg. Anything goes.

Was the goal to get enough sponsorships to cover the damage to the cars for the sake of making the show more entertaining?

Horray for traffic avoidance skills.

I've been watching as I too was intrigued about this show being on tv....but knew something was definately wrong when I was seeing a truck at the front of the pack....Oh well...Those truck guys are from New Braunfels(45miles north of me) and seemed okay in person...Show was a neat concept, but I too got bored quickly after the first two episodes...sigh...cringed when the Lambo was damaged, damn...

People have to remember that this was for TV and has to appeal to as many viewers as possible. All the sponsors were arranged for by the show. As such, every car had the same stickers for the sponsors.

Yes, it sucked when the Lambo got damaged. And as I said above, driving the speed limit - for legal liability reasons - really sucked. Maybe we should have tried to use a Prius...

Looks like from the previews for Tuesday's show, others felt the same and have started to deviate from their contract. Too bad the guys in the truck felt the need to "police" others and start video taping it so they could tell on them. Guess it's really the only way a big peice of junk ford truck has a chance to win something like this.

Its too bad that for me the show started getting boring. I never thought about the speed limit thing. But I guess the show cant promote speeding or wreckless driving on public roads. Too bad, those idots in the Ford wouldnt have been doing so well. Sucks about the Lambo, would have liked to have seen some locals do better. Saw him bring it to one of our Santana row meets and the front end looked pretty bad. Then 2 weeks later I saw the episode and the racoon encounter. Well you guys did the best you could without completely destroying the car.

I had a chance to be in the event but my race schedule didn't allow it. I personally have been waiting for the part of the show that requires real driving skill.
It doesn't seem to matter what you brought to the game. I also think it is kinda boring.

Lotus is gone, after their antics. All american muscle left. Next episode looks like the Charger guys are going to get their karma. Throwing their helmets, unless it's like the BMW guys just "overheating", just over dramatizing the whole thing. I'm thinking winners are going to be Trans Am. Am I the only one watching???
