    "If you have ever collected a 1:18-scale car, you've got Bburago to thank—and probably have one or two in your collection. Recently, however, the company announced that its assets will be auctioned toward the end of this month, and the brand's fate will lie in the hands of new owners by the end of November.

    The first tentative steps by American-based companies were taken in the late 1980s-early 1990s, but Bburago, with its crazy double-B moniker and comprehensive range of exotic sports machinery, focusing heavily, but not exclusively, on Ferrari, paved the way for far greater things."

    bburago's are always the nicest models, got an f50, f40, 355, EB110, XJ220--- all phenomenal detail for the $20 paid for them... it's truly a shame to see them go!

    anyone know who the new owner is? I hope its not hotwheels.......

    I am heartbroken - I have a big collection of Bburago Ferraris and other models, and I have always found them to be some of the best :(

    I agree, even HW's are better IMO.

    Its a real shame companies like Kyosho don't do more Ferraris, since I would rather pay more and get something decent.

    I will immediately start rebodying Bburago models for wealthy customers and make a big fat profit.
    No wait a minute................this bulletin just in.................
    Tom Shaughnessy announces the purchase of all Bburago models remaining in their warehouse. The torch is passed,....er,.....should that be "the torch is lit" and the sawzall is running!
