The rubber bushings on the brace that goes between the back of my engine compartment and attaches to the engine (you know, the one that looks like a dogbone?) appear to be shot. Any suggestions for where I could source new ones?

    Thanks!

I think they are referred to as "silentblock" and can be had from Maranello U.K. I'll look up the part # and get back to you. Pressed for time now.

    Silent block.... Got it. Thanks!

Edit: *Yikes*!!! Ricambi has 'em as well - just checked the price... I guess it's just a little more than some crappy, rubber bushing! You're actually buying the enitre housing as well as the rubber in-fill. Well...that'll have to wait until next month, but it's awesome to know the official name and part number. Thank you guys very much.

    Aaron,
Do you have the pdf of the parts list for the GT4? I'm pretty sure there is one out there. It makes finding parts easier because it has exploded diagrams of everything and gives the part number. Of course, it's in Italian.

I'll see if I have the GT4 version someplace.

I know I have a pdf of the GT4 service manual I can send you. (Not the owners manual but the actual service manual.) Its in English. Do you have that? A very handy thing to have.

The other thing to use regularly is the Ferrari UK parts list at www.owners.ferrari.com. They have the exploded diagrams, part numbers and prices there. You can then cross-compare prices with Dennis McCann, etc. Ferrari UK often has very competitive prices, even with international shipping. But other times the local guys can beat them, especially with shipping factored in.

308GT4 parts and service manuals (except Owners, which you get from owners.ferrari.com) are downloadable at http://dino308gt4.com.

The bushings are replaceable. I bought mine from superformance.co.uk. they fit but are not identical to the originals. I think the new ones are a bit stiffer. (But then my old ones were broken so I have no way of knowing what the correct feel would be).
