I really don't want to discuss a drug/mushroom addled conversation that took place on the beaches of Baja Mexico, but it came to mind while I was doing a bit of business after a long discussion about life earlier tonight. I'm wondering, am I off my rocker? I run a normal life. I work a lot of hours. Don't go to movies because I don't see the value. Don't buy many new cars because I don't make the income. However, I drive an older pickup and spent all my savings on my Ferrari. I've driven it in excess of 10,000 miles this year and I had a moment this evening. I realized that tomorrow morning I'm hopping in my Ferrari with my wife and driving it 300 miles to my buddies house where I'm dropping off some luggage then going to my brothers house for dinner. That is wednesday. On Thursday I'm dropping my wife off at the airport to fly back to Lousiana. I'll be driving the car around on errands for a few days before washing it to park it when I leave for work.

This is my only car on the west coast. When I'm here I expect it to operate as a 2010 Toyata Camry. That it will start when I get in it and take me where ever I plan to go.

Does any one else here use there 80's Ferrari as a new efficiency transportation pod?

The Mondi is Ferrari's Camry. Four seats, roomy trunk, it does all the work you ask of it. I've taken mine to Home Depot, shopping, airport runs, the whole nine yards.

Heck, I had to take my Mondi to the Toyota dealership on a parts run because our Toyota (MR2 Spyder) had lost a coil!

I'd daily drive her more if I had covered parking at work...

It's been a great car and very reliable. No one asks me any more if I think the car will make it. It has simply been accepted as my transportation when I'm out here.
