Button gets married in Hawaii

Wow, I would have expected Japan.

 

I'm not surprised. The Hawaiian beaches are scattered with sunbathers among Japanese wedding parties every hundred yards.

 

Good for them. I hope they have a long and happy marriage.

Jenson has often vacationed in Hawaii in the off season or during breaks, it seems to be a favourite hangout for them. Proximity to Japan is probably part of the advantage.

Coincidentally, I'm in Maui for Christmas/New Years right now, the first time we've been away from home at Christmas. My wife said she spotted two weddings on the beaches on one of her runs last week, so when I saw this news yesterday I told her she might have seen Jenson Button getting married! (They are in Maui, but I haven't read which area in Maui).

I've also 'run into' Button here before, I ran the Honolulu Marathon in Dec 2012 when Button ran it as his first marathon. Never spotted him though (actually forgot to look for him), he finished nearly 2 hours ahead of me... of course, there were 30,000 other runners besides me and Jenson!

My wife looked at the wedding pics and all she had to say was why didn't the veil match the dress. Veil white and dress ivory. I just thought the bride was smokin but just nodded yes.
