If you had a day and could choose an open track day at either Buttonwillow (Full track, #25) or Willow Springs (Horsethief Mile) which would be more fun?

I know nothing about either track.

    Any suggestions or information appreciated.

buttonwillow is more technical and willow is more speed. If you want to tune your car go to buttonwillow, but if you want to drive fast go to willow ( be careful of turn 8 and 9). Both tracks are fun, more corners at button willow. At willow you pay $125 to become a member (year pass)and 75 per car and 75 per driver. It has to be a friday because other weekdays are more expensive. Make sure there is no motorcycle club on the weekend.
P.S. Buttonwillow doesn't have many open testing days

A few of us went karting last week on Horse Thief. There are some pretty tight turns for a car on that track. I've never been on the other tracks, but Horse Thief seems to have some very technical areas along with some nasty drop offs.

He's talking about Horse Thief Mile at WS, I think you're talking about the Big Track.

I would agree. A group of us rent ButtonWillow a few times a year and its a great way to spend the day.
Willow is more expensive if you want the track to yourselves and has a pretty full schedule. The test days are OK, although you never know who/what will be out there with you.

Usually a bigger price to pay at Willow if you have an "off".
