I just noted that some buttons on my TDF are getting sticky.

I am used to that on some older cars but hoped that the problem was solved on more recent models. Obviously it’s not the case.

    It’s rather annoying and disappointing.

I guess that the best thing to do is wait until it gets worse/unbearable and then have them refinished by a specialist (I used carplastix twice and was very happy with the result).

Anyone else with the same problem ? What would you do ?

Did anyone experience this issue in an 812?

    They haven’t.

My new F12 I bought last month was getting sticky - was able to work it all out in the deal

The whole sticky button thing really grates with me, its beyond ridiculous that these cars still get them.

I thought I did read somewhere that F8 and 812 generation and onward were/are corrected… is this not true?

Well time will tell, but I have not seen it yet on a 812/Lusso/F8, so let's hope they are the first ones with the new material. Which also means they are the best generation for the interior, as they are the last ones without the haptic BS!

My TDF buttons are sticky. Pretty shocking that this was allowed to happen for so long even if they claim it's now fixed on newer models

Nothing is perfect, anything man made has its flaws. As I look at it, yeah, it’s a bit of an annoyance, but, it can be fixed; and the car itself is awesome.

The problem is not the repair with Sticky RX which is excellent but the disassembly of the dash, etc. UGH

unfortunately there is nothing easy about owning these cars if you want them to perpetually perfect...the cars you enjoy the most are the ones you care about the least

Sell the TDF to me and buy an 812. I’ll gladly take it off your hands:)

Next time you get anxious about the buttons, get into the car, fire up the V12 and think to yourself this is mine, all mine. I get to drive it whenever I want. Maybe the best car ever

    You are absolutely right.

Don't worry, it doesn't make me too anxious and this will never spoil the pleasure to have such a special car in my garage and the fantastic experience every time I drive it.

    What a car !
