Buy a 458 Spyder in the US or Europe?

    A business associate has asked me to inquire about whether it is less expensive to buy a new 458 spyder in the US and ship it to Monaco or purchase the car in Europe. He will be a non resident in Monaco for 3 months a year.

    Probably less expensive but he's got a longer wait. Much longer wait.

    Not sure you can even register a US-spec car in Monaco and it sure would be annoying to find out once you have the car there. Warranty might also be an issue. With low taxes over there, I can't imagine it is cheaper anyway since you will have to pay for the shipping twice (once included in the US price, and once to ship it back). And as Bob said - much longer wait.

    And don't forget - in Europe you can order the 4 point harness and some other goodies that are not available in the US.
