I've signed up for a track day at Laguna Seca on 8/4/23. In the past I would just drive my track car down to Laguna Seca, 3 times, once in a Cadillac CTS-V, once in a Corvette Z06 and once in a BMW M5. But I don't think I want to put that kind of milage on my F8 Tributo, about 1700 miles round trip from Seattle, not including track milage. So I'm trying to decide whether to buy a trailer (anywhere from 5k for an open car trailer to a covered lowering flatbed Futura trailer for 28k) or just pay someone to ship it down and meet me at my hotel.

What have you guys done with your Ferraris on track days at locations that are not local? Would love your thoughts

I eventually bought a 16' Aluma open trailer with an air dam. I use it to trailer all of my cars as needed - either to shows, or tracking days. I stopped driving to track days when I saw far too many incidents when the driver was left stranded, and decided to purchase the Aluma (it was about $11k all in). Watkins Glen is 1,100 miles each way, so well worth it for all the tracking I do. I am fine with open and use it for the F8 and STO as well.

If you won't use it much, call and see what shipping it costs. No reason to buy a trailer if its mostly going to sit around.
