It needs a new steering wheel because the one on it did not come on a BB512i!

Note: Nardi Steering Wheel and Original Ferrari Steering Wheel included with car.

If I did not have mine, surely I would look into this one!

So your BB512i came with both a black leather Nardi wheel and a wooden wheel? My 1982 BB512i has a black leather Nardi wheel with a Ferrari horse horn button, not a wood one. It is my understanding that the wooden steering wheels only came on the 365GT4/BB Boxers . The steering wheel in the photo doesn't have a Ferrari horse horn button either.

To my knowledge, the wooden steering wheels did not come standard on any Boxer. I have never seen a "period" photo of any Boxer with a wooden steering wheel.

No, the seller is saying he knows the current steering wheel is not standard & that the car will come with the current wood wheel & the original one.

Seems not too long ago a boxer struggled to pass 60K on ebay. Admittedly no classic ferrari fetches reasonable prices on ebay, the net being the place for new and used current or recent models. That being said recent boxer appearances on ebay seem to be getting close to 70k with plenty of bids.
Does this mean that a good boxer from a dealer is now a solid 80k+.

Undoubtably given that putting even a cosmeticaly good car mechanicaly right is going to be 10k+ the better boxers might soon be pushing past 90K
Either way it seems prices and sales really are starting to move.

    Any thoughts?

There are three injected cars on Ebay right now, all with bids in excess of 60k, none of which have met their reserve yet. Moreover, the bidding seems active. There must be back channel communication/PPI's happening since some of the auctions have scant info at best. The market does appear to be trending upwards indeed.

I found my BB512i on ebay, but never bidded...I just called the seller and we agreed on the phone to an even trade of my 348 Spider for the Boxer...subject to a PPI of course...the rest is history. While the Boxer and the 348 Spider were worth the same in 2002, the Boxer is now worth $15k to $20k more than the 348 Spider...so I'm happy with my trade.

This is the same garage queen that has shown up on several threads about... well, garage queens. It's been listed on ebay multiple times with very high reserves and "buy it now" prices and never made it.

I'm sure this new higher price is in response to the huge sum (was it 150K?) given for the Kings Boxer.

There are quite a few Boxers on Ebay at the moment. Will all to choose from I doubt this one will make it’s minimum.
