Just wondering would you go thru same process when buying a ferrari whether its from authorized fdealer or nonfdealer? Basically do you put more faith into buying from a fdealer and not having to ask for more indepth information about the car your inquiring about...as opposed to really being cautious from buying from non-fdealer. ? (ie:leakdown, ppi, full history, service records, names of past owners)

I think due diligence is required from both. Some cars from the dealer may be on consignment. However the cars at a dealer may be of a higher quality. The dealer has a reputation to up hold. Either way a ppi is a must. Good luck.

I do more or less the same research, but I do take into account the reputation of the dealer. Whether they are an authorized Ferrari dealer or not doesn't matter much to me, as I've seen both good and bad authorized dealers, just as there are good and bad independents.

Yup. The value placed on reputation doesn't come with a big yellow sign.

    Hell yes.

Designed by humans, made by humans, bought and sold by humans, fixed by humans, driven by humans........ergo, excrement occurs. I'm just human.........

Yea, same. Given the same dollar amount an F - dealer will probably hook you up better in the long run.

I bought a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2004 360 from a dealer. It has a one year warranty. In order to get this warranty it needed to be inspected. All this was done immediately before I bought it. It also gives me one year to thrash it!
