    Hi everyone,

considering a Cali. Question is do I stretch for a 30 for increased reliability?

I read that these are less likely to develop the gearbox sensor problem.

Did the roof problem improve too?

Any other common problems or considerations between say a 2010 and 2013?

If budget allows - definitely spring for the 30. I didn't know the model existed when I bought my 2011. Transmission is better, car is lighter. To my knowledge no changes to the roof mechanical design.

Y-E-S! (And with the HS package, if you can find one.)

YES!! More power, more updates, a great car. If you can, buy one with the Handling Speciale package (less than 10% of the models have it), it’s worth it (handling, suspension). I have one, no regrets :)

Yes and yes again. I have the 30 HS. It's definitely the sweet spot in the California range in my view, even taking the T into account. It's naturally aspirated, has extra HP over the previous Cali, better suspension, great exhaust sound and is more of a beast all around. If you can find one and are willing to pay the extra then I don't think you will regret it.

I have had both and yes if you can get the California 30 also the HS makes a big difference to me much quicker steering response among other things.
