Believe it's pretty quick / easy overall.

I called one dealer in Quebec when they were offering a GT3 RS at a "too good to be true" price (when you do the FX exchange). Of course, I called and the guy quoted me some pretty modest fee for them to do the leg work for exporting to U.S. (I think maybe $1,500? Certainly less than $5k) He also mentioned he had about 15 calls from U.S. buyers already in the couple days listed, and that they already had a deposit on the car, so I was SOL.

The warranties are North American wide and so will be honored. Some of the Canadian dealers have even more attractive warranties than the U.S. dealers (at least on CPO cars).

Must be terrible to be a Canadian sports car buyer today since the prices are inflating because of the FX rate... yikes.

For your question, I don't think it's uncommon at all and should be pretty straight forward. Good luck!

Forgot to add... there might be some easy changes required (imperial vs. metric system). IIRC my speedo is in mph only, so theirs "may" be in kph only and need to be swapped out.

I am also not sure if a Canadian dealer would swap out the side markers to clear ones for an export, so you might need to get that done down here. No biggie of course.

You need a broker to sponsor the car for export and import in most cases.
