Hi Ray, I have had 6 911s and think the 993 was the very best. I have had 3 355s now and in my opinion there is no comparison. especially where depreciation is concerned. I have a 355 F1 berlinetta and use it as my daily driver. Now approaching 49k miles I use it rain, snow, sun, everything. I have had no problems whatsoever. Of course they have a few things that have to be replaced from time to time, as you have read already. But the rewareds are endless. My last 2 355s were manual, and like you, I never wanted an F1 car. But once you get used to it, it is super smooth and very fast. I would never ever want to go back now. I have everything done at Verdi, as they pick the car up do the work and drop it back, they make it all soooooo easy and they are competitive too. Things are not as expensive as you think. I actually spent more keeping the last 3 911s on the road to be honest. You are more thyan welcome to have a drive of my car too, if you're ever in north Essex. I have been averaging 17k miles per year for the last 3/4 years in Ferraris. And not a blip!
