Hey guys, I would like to know if I am looking for a 355, does it have to be "the perfect car" when I buy it? Or if I buy a decent one and willing to put the money into it can it considered as close to perfect as I can get? The reason I ask is there are not very many ones for sale with the criteria that I have. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hey Tony,
As any of the guys on here will tell you, there is no 'perfect' F355 for sale.
I bought mine knowing that I needed a 'super'-major, engine out service withing 6 months, including headers, waterpump, hoses, etc., in addition to re-doing the seats.
The advice I would give is:
    - Do your research, narrow it down, ask a lot of question, and don't be in a hurry
    - Talk personally (a lot) to the seller and ask for records
    - Take an independent, experienced, Ferrari mechanic with you to do a thorough PPI
    - Start a separate bank account and put $100 a week aside for regular maintenance and emergencies. This seems to cover it..really.
