I want to take my bypass valve to a machine shop to repair the bushings since I've heard that resolves the buzzing problem but I'm not sure exactly what bushing(s) needs to be remachined. Can anyone that has done this aim me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

The metal part on the end of the spindle on the side opposite the diaphragm. It may take some trial and error to get the dimensions perfect, and the bearing has to be tig welded on...so this is some work. "JH355" showed me how he did his, he might be of some help...of course he has CNC machines and is an engineer... ;)

It will probably be a lot easier to go Capristo...

But a helluva lot cheaper to do this. I know Tom Jones (ferrarioldman) has said he has had them rebuilt at a fraction of the cost of getting a new one.

    THANKS!!!!

I just sent Tom a PM to see if there is a shop he works with. If so, I'll just send it to them versus trying to explain it to my shop.
