Some of the members here know what a great man he was. I know he was particulary for Digman a special influence through his work with the charities and other things.

Truely a great ambassador for Golf, and a high standard for what it means to be a good person. He will be missed.

Mr Nelson Your tee time awaits....

What an amazing statesman for golf and life. Retiring in his prime to spend more time on the Roanoke ranch with his wife. He was one of the few sports figures who was truly a roll model. You could not meet a kinder, more loving man, and his real joy was helping others, especially the troubled kids the Salesmanship Club serves. I was lucky enough to get to spend some time with him in his home, and feel blessed for getting to know him.

We will miss you dearly Lord Byron.

    What a giving man.
Not sure if you knew this, not many do...
Everyone that works the Byron Nelson Golf Tournament is a volunteer.
Also, the Byron Nelson Golf Tournament gives more to charity than ALL of the other golf tournaments combined (United States).
He was much more than a GREAT golfer.
