Greetings everyone. My wife Karrie (Mesa Police Officer), is walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Race for the Cure this November. We have asked the powers that be if we could set up a table at Cars and Coffee to help Karrie reach her fund rasing goal. With much kindness, we have been granted this opportunity. We will have a small table selling some baked goods that Karrie herself has made along with some products dontated to us by Paradise Bakery (Signal Butte & Baseline). We will also be taking dontations directly for the event. If you plan on coming out and enjoying Cars and Coffee, please stop by and visit us and possibly help Karrie reach her goal of helping find a cure for something that as affected so many. Thanks and regards; Tony & Karrie Toby Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulations to Karrie for doing this! P.S. Scuderia Southwest is a little like a flash mob: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_mob No one has any real power, we just have more fun when the group suddenly gathers!
Understood Roy, but I would never assume that I could just come and set up. I really hate to be "that guy", lol. I am just hoping that Karrie will not ask if Steve's Jarama is a Pinto again. Maybe Steve will bring the Diablo GT. Hint Hint. Tony.
Sorry Steve, sometimes I just can't resist. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like Hurricane Jimena has the chance to put a damper on our fun Saturday morning. Aftermath is heading directly towards us, but currently looks like not until later in the day Saturday.....but we shall see...Fingers crossed.
Last I remember my Ferrari's weren't painted with water colors, so they should be OK! But if it rains, Copterjon will be compelled to take the bus!
I personally wasn't concerned with the cars (mine at least). More concerned with the overall turn out. I haven't had a car melt yet due to getting wet. I won't let him take the bus...I'll pick his soggy arse up. lol.
A few pics I took from this morning. A little "rainy", but not a bad turnout! Wiped down the Diablo when I got home.......looks good.......didn't melt! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey John, was looking forward to seeing the M3 today? We had a fun time, too bad you and Stacy missed it! Maybe you will bring the M3 next week?
I don't hate the rain, but I don't like it on the first Saturday of the month. I feel really bad for Karrie and Tony.
I did plan on coming up and am bummed I missed out on the soggy fun. My 348 has been apart for a few weeks while getting the bumper and mirrors resprayed. I worked all evening in pain (see previous post) putting it back together. When I got up I was hurting pretty bad and just threw in the towel. I did manage to get it out of the garage in between showers so here's my picture contribution for today. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Was out Monday evening in the thunderstorm, hydroplaned and ended up over the sidewalk and into a pole. The car is a total loss. I'm banged up a bit but no broken bones or anything like that. It's kinda interesting that none of the airbags deployed. Good thing I always wear a seat belt.
