    All,

With all the buzz about the gathering at The Great Indoors, how easy it is to get to, how great the lot is, how much the management of GI wants us to come there every week... The gatherings will become weekly starting in May!

Do not forget that there is a gathering this Saturday at 8am :)

    See everyone there!

*** We understand that the first Saturday of the month there is a C&C in Boulder, and this is not meant to take away from that gathering, but to simply be an alternative place to gather to enjoy meeting up, talking cars, and drinking a cup of coffee.

I agree with this, we should do C&C every Saturday until early Fall (weather permitting).
This way, people that can't go to a particular Sat, can just go to the next Sat.

Also, with the Porsche Breakfast Club usually meeting on the 2nd Sat. this will make it easier for them to join in the fun on alternate weekends :)

I dont know, I think this is kind of lame and that it is going to take away from the Boulder meet.

    Not at all.

There are some people (like myself) that will not make the drive to Boulder due at that hour for coffee due to the drive time/miles. If you lived in Castle Rock would you drive to Boulder? How about if you lived in Colorado Springs? Or farther south?

The Great Indoors is simply an alternative location, and on the first Saturday those who normally go to Boulder are more than welcome to keep going to Boulder.

Think of it as a place for you to go on the other Saturday mornings, other than the 1st Saturday.

I think having it every weekend is a terrific idea! Being the organizer of the Porsche Breakfast Club, this would always conflict with our regular meetings. So, you can expect to see me frequently and hopefully I can bring some others along, too!

I think you just dubbed it. Boulder meet. Let's face it: most Denver (or Castle Rock, Co Spgs, etc.) Ferrari/exotic/sports/collector car owners live south of Hampden (SoHam?). With the inevitable conflict on the first Saturday, Cino's will become Boulder/Northern CO (NoCo?). I wouldn't be too bummed though. With the exception of SoCal, weekly C & Cs that have been tried in other regions have become a venue to show off the '79 Caprice ridin dirty on 24s and/or the Foose-wannabe '69 Camaro. There's simply more of that kind of car around than the same Ferraris and Lambos you'll see week after week. It don't think it'll be long before the Ferrari/etc. folks migrate back to Cino's—their place—to distance themselves from all that. That being said, I do hope the weekly thing takes off as I can't always make it down on either the first or second Saturday. I also think it's a positive thing toward building a car culture, very much like they do in SoCal; not to mention the social aspect of getting to meet on a reguar basis with other enthusiasts.

    Mike,

To my fellow Tifosi's, contrary to Mike/Imola2001's post, our group, Rocky Mountain Exotics, meets ONCE a month on every second weekend at the Great Indoors in Lonetree.
We would be more than happy to have any and all other exotics join us, but for now, it's once a month with other drives throughout the summer.

Mike, Let's clear some things up, the C&C at Great Indoors is not your group to decide to make weekly and then publish to other forums such as this.
If you want to attend our meets and talk gearhead, great. If you continue to ignore our request to 'cease and desist' and handle our groups business as your own, the temporary ban you are under will become permanent.

I originally posted on this thread about changing the Cars and Coffee to GI.

However, there are other events in Denver and meeting at this location on a weekly basis will dilute all the other events including this one. Having one official meet a month in the south will ensure that there is a bigger turnout. This will also leave a good turnout for the North location, which has some really nice potential drives into the mountains after the event. I don't see why people can't go and meet there whenever they wish.

Boulder is a distance but making it to that location will only show greater diversity.

    Chris,
I was still waiting for your call, but since I can not discuss this at RME at the time, and you have posted here, I shall reply here.

I will post it again here in case my post at RME was deleted. I am not interested in running RME, nor am I even interested in trying to do so.

As you and "prche951" have both just created the accounts here, you might not be aware that I posted about having a "C&C" style event in the Park Meadows area some time ago, and various people were in the discussions, which I am sure spilled over to 6speed, and also RME, as the first post was made in the "Boulder C&C" thread.

"prsche951" did indeed post about the GI location after the "Starbucks trial", and there was some discussion about GI before the "trial run" in February, and before his post. The GI is a much better location than the Starbucks was, and we all can agree to it.

There were lots of other people who came to GI besides the RME group, and I think we can all agree to that as well.

If the RME group only wants to come to GI on the second Saturday of the month, then that is fine, as nobody take attendance, nor is attendance required. Nobody is saying that RME should not support Mike & the group that does the "C&C Boulder" on the first Saturday. I have posted several times that people who live that way, and enjoy going there should continue to do so on the first Saturday. We have already established that many from Boulder do not want to drive south, and many from the south do not want to drive to Boulder. Many other groups like the location of GI in "south Denver", and the fact that it is "commercial free" and "restriction free".

I'm sure I will see you around, whether it is in Boulder, Denver or the Springs. You have my number, feel free to call anytime to discuss.

    Best,
    Mike

Now there is an idea! We have a Hooters in the Springs too (which after spending a little time here, amazes me).

    Mike, you're missing the point, as a n00b to our group;
    1. you took it upon yourself to change the RME meet from one a month to weekly and then broadcast it to forums such as this one.
    2. You again took it upon yourself to "negotiate" between RME and Aurora C&C after being asked several time nicely to back off.

But here is the kicker, this isnt an isolated incident. I wont get into the other issues as they are irrelevant.

Seriously, you seemed like an OK guy until wierd shiite starting happening... notch it down a bit and you will do well.
