Nice event, as always. Pics to follow.

For those idiot enough to try to be, let's charitably call it enthusiastic, as you are leaving, there were Scottsdale Police lined up three deep waiting for someone foolish enough to do so. A brace of Mustangs obliged as I was leaving. No sympathy from me.

    Fun pics...

PS, we stopped on the way home to look at a Quatroporte, but found an XJ to take home to replace the E38 750.

I'm just glad the 'Vette stopped in time. It was scary close to those people.

Our Motorsports Gathering has seen some incredible growth over the years we have been doing this. I have been to many similar events, but the depth, number and quality of great cars we attract never ceases to amaze me. Thanks guys for your support in coming, brining your great cars, and all the pics. Being apart of what this has become is very humbling for me.

    On the knucklehead front....

As we have grown, the biggest problem, month after month comes from mostly the domestic car boys with Camaros, Vettes, Mustangs, and to a lesser extent the tuner kids. When they leave the event, they find it necessary to attempt drag racing and powersliding on Scottsdale Rd to prove their manhood, or get 5 minutes of fame on Youtube. In the interest of public safety, I would be happy to get them a supply of Viagra and a membership to match, if they come forward.

Once again, I was approached by 2 of Scottsdale's finest, (since I am the most visible face of the event), and had to have a chat with them about the aforementioned domestic car moron's behavior. I can't tell you how much I hate being approached by the police because someone, whom I don't know, is an idiot.

If this continues, we are seriously thinking of banning said offending brands from the event. If any of you know who the people are who find this necessary, spread the word, refer them to me...... or tell them to stay home.

It was a great day and a packed house. As to the burnout crowd, I noticed an alarming trend that they have a growing peanut gallary of people who sit out front waiting for the guy who can spin'em in all gears. I see the event going away if this behavior is not addressed somehow. Looking forward to next month.

I think we will also have to ban Ferrari's!!
Some knucklehead wanted his 15 minutes of fame on youtube and posted this video of going well over the speed limit, crossing double yellow lines, going up South Mountain!
I don't really see the difference. Do you?

Anybody who drives recklessly on public roads should be jailed. No question.
Join a car club and do track days if you want to enjoy the power and handling of your car

Driving like a jerk, especially when it endangers others, is a dumb move. However, I think the point here is that driving like a jerk to/from Cars & Coffee/Motorsports Gathering not only endangers you and others, but it also jeopardizes the viability of the event for the hundreds of participants and spectators. And that's just not cool.

Don't be a dou*&bag and imply that this is about Ferrari guys vs. Muscle Car guys or any other moronic competition. The fact is that, no matter what you drive, if you drive recklessly to/from/near this event you're going to ruin it for all of us. Obviously the Scottsdale PD (who do a fine job, I might add) have reason to be concerned and they're going to be watching our every move.

    Let's not screw it up.

    There are obvious differences.

Once again, a anonymous big shot, with a big mouth, no car and organizes and runs nothing has an 'expert' opinion. Gotta love FChat! :)

We are all guilty at one time or another for driving stupid. Lets all see the big picture and remind ourselves to drive responsibly to and from this great event. It would suck to get a reckless driving ticket. Insurance would be almost unobtainable. Any car guy loves to put his foot down, it just needs to be at the right time.
