Film of the kid escaping out of the burning aircraft was pretty amazing. Too bad someone did not get film of the local using an axe to cut open the door.
Wow! Didn't see that someone hacked open the door. That's incredible! Glad the boy got out but sorry that his parents didn't. That's going to be tough for him.
Yep, especially if the part about him switching seats with his stepmother is true. That will stick with him; I'm sure.
I've read that the landing gear has been an ongoing issue with Cessna high wing retractables. Actually, someone checked records and said that that plane had done a couple belly landings before he bought it... one when it was only a few months old.
