I came across this ad and thought it'd be interesting for some of you. I have no connection to the seller, so can't speak for them, but the ad looks amazing.

Well good for you. If you get more pics or info, please post it here.

I'm collecting 1/18 scale only and actually have this particular car in that scale (very rare). But of course in 1/8 we're no longer talking model car, we're talking museum piece.

Lawrence, in case you end up buying this, please, please, please document your construction progress with pictures on here. Would be awesome to follow. And keep us entertained for a long time...
    :)

PS: What trim would you pick?

    Thanks Andreas,

The seller says he'll send more pics and info next week. The construction is by screws, clamps, and glue. The carbon fibre body panels have to be trimmed, fitted, and painted. I wonder how you paint carbon fibre? If I do get this I'll definitely post pics and details of the construction process.

What company makes the 1/18 model you have of this car?

I would think carbon fibre can be spray painted.

I forgot and the model doesn't say. It is an all metal and hence heavy model from Germany. They no longer make them and it was a lucky find on German ebay.

Exoto has announced to bring out a 1/18 version of this car. But no dates yet and I would not hold my breath. They will come out normally eventually, but it might be a long time till then.

    Andreas,

I think the 1/18 one you have was made by Twin Chrono. I have several of their Ferrari f1 models in 1/43 and yes they're quite heavy and hard to come by although the detail is not the greatest.

You have a rare one indeed as I've been looking for the 1/18 Twin Chronos for a long time!

I think you are right, sounds about like it. And yes it was hard to get. Cost me also an arm and a leg, probably the most expensive model I have.
