I respect anyone who loves cars regardless of what they drive. What is strange is to me -why you would post this on a ferrari site? Not to mention that you are making several ssumptions about the cars and drivers. I would never go to the corvett site and provide - as you put it - information. we all know what the performace numbers are. I can tomorrow get a honda civic with 900HP which wll blow away vette or viper for about the same price, however who cares? I recommend sticking with sites that cater to your taste and beliefs. Good luck and enjoy your Z06 !!!
Not the specious specific-output argument. You could just as easily turn it around and argue that Ferrari takes 32 valves and four cams to do what Chevy can with 16 valves and a single cam. Simplicity requires ingenuity, too.
WHY? Why have this discussion..the Z06 is a very well designed car..It says American Made with its exagerated fenders and low taught lines...it is cheap compared to Ferraris, but that is of course relative to the numbers built....They both perform in their own way. The F430 has got to be the ultimate sports car for the road..it is a driving experience...italian style...the Vette does it in an American way...Apples to Oranges..which is better..depends on your preference....Ferrari Chatters have got to get over your complexes...Everyone always compares themselves to the best which is why these arguments always come up...It is why everyone always compared new F1 drivers to Schumi or every golfer gets compared to Tiger....So accept being great and let the others make comparisions.....
z06 great car its the best car that gm has ever been able to muster but if we pared up the best car ferrari has theyd have the white flag up
hey Z06 guys look what a 997 TT dose to your precious Z06 http://youtube.com/watch?v=AyKVCx-VO-U haaahaaa Ferrarijoe
i owned a 2006 z06, did 5 k miles. good car, reminded me of my mustang cobra, dirt **** cheap and all Alabama. then i woke up and got another Strad
wow this post made one HELL of a lota discussion, i see his point on that the premium on 430's is a hell of a lot and the zo6 is an amazing car, straight line and on the corners, same track time on top gear as the 430 which is also 0.1 of a sec ahead of the cs, i think over here in the u.k i might me persuaded to take the zo6 as its really rare over here to ever see a c6 let alone a zo6, i think ive only ever seen one c6 and no zo6's. I think that after a week or so though id be kicking myself that i didn't go 4 the 430,lol as ferrari are my favorite cars and that was probably my one chance for a new one. check the top gear lap time link for tons of supercars lap times, really intresting actualy, enzo held the title for quite a while. http://www.topgear.com/content/tgonbbc2/laptimes/thestig/
I own a Porsche Turbo, Ferrari 430, and Z-06. My answer to those who criticize - buy them all and don't fret. Some people actually like different cars. Conspicuously absent from YouTube and other sites are "road racing" comparisons. I could start a new controversy by dropping a 500hp motor in a shopping cart. For those of you who have road raced, say at Watkins Gleen or Road America, you find out in a hurry how a car compares to another. It measures much more than torque and horsepower. Best
RBK's probably got the best point there, different cars for different things, different moods etc,id be worried to push a ferrari for fear of breaking so it so id take the porsche and push that as as far as i know porsches are pretty damn sturdy cars, another day i might want a pure, clean, perfect ferrari drive and another i might want a beast and the american muscle sound and extreme rarity (over here in the U.K) of the z06.
Dear Poster: Thank you for taking the time to visit our corner of the internet. At an emergency meeting of the subscribed members of this forum, held only yesterday evening, after much discussion, we have no choice but to acknowledge that your [insert type of car] is and will be superior in every way to every Ferrari designed or manufactured and to be designed or manufactured from the beginning of time until the end of the universe including, but not limited to, cars bearing even serial numbers, cars bearing odd serial numbers, cars bearing no serial numbers, cars inconveniently having the same serial number as other cars, cars modified by the Ferrari factory and/or third parties, and cars having nothing to do with Ferrari but simply bearing logos or other indicia of Ferrari. Please leave your shoes in the hallway outside your room, so that we may shine them in perpetuity. Regards, All Ferrari Owners, Past, Present and Future
