Cue the two page long post about its weight, why its not a "serious" track car, cost to run, and why it's not a sports car....

Yep, I am sure the rebuttal is being penned as I type this...

I especially enjoy the "cost to run" comments as I will bet ANY amount of money that it's cheaper to track a ZR1 than ANYTHING else in it's performance category.

    VERY impressive!

The ZR1 absolutely DEMOLISHES quite a few sports/performance cars costing several times more ...

It shows that technology becomes very old in a very short time.
The Porsche, Corvette and McLaren are the top three, split by hairs.
    All three are totally different
The Porsche is the Porsche, the numbers are wild but most people would walk by it.
    I love it .
The Vette is the Vette, its bang for the buck but......quality is ehhh and the looks scream very old man with a toupe'.
I love it , numbers wise but.....
I am a founding member or the National Corvette museum so stay calm.
I hope the new mid engine makes America proud again in the style dept.

The McLaren is a spaceship, totally different look, leather interior if opted a trunk and rear parcel shelf and the fastest thing OVERALL on the planet
    but a looker.
    I love it
BUT have NO CLUE WHAT TO DO AFTER THE WARRANTY.
But all three are todays cutting edge,

The Lambo and the Ford.......were designed 3 years ago, it shows........

    Most surprising stat, IMO:

    Ford GT: 2:45:5
    Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE: 2:45:7
    (from last year's test)

The Ford made so many compromises for performance, you sit on top of each other, the seats are non adjustable, it has no storage I'm aware of, then along comes the ZR1 which is still a real car and savages it.

Aesthetics are subjective. I see nothing about the Corvette that screams "old man with a rug". Nothing. The McLaren looks like a 16 year old Japanese boy's anime wet dream-no thanks. The Ford GT is the "spaceship" IMO Also, the quality of the Corvette is just fine. Don't equate quality with whether or not it's covered with triple stitched, diamond tufted Alcantara.

Yes but do to its glorious v8 its been able to reinvent itself and upgrade.
Some of the others are trapped.
Once the mid engine comes, it will be night and day from my sources.
The 2002 Vanquish was king of the super cars and now lovely that it is , its relegated to a grand tour.
I just would like to see a WOW factor in terms of styling.
Been a corvette lover since birth, my uncles original 59 to my cousins 64 coupe which when I saw it as a little kid, I thought it was a spaceship.
Guys in 5years pick your hybrid electric cause that's what its going to be......
its all about the technology .
    Enjoy

Best value of the decade - pick up a slightly used ZL1-1LE after someone figures out that they can't stand the suspension for a DD.

i just love the undeniable evidence, that so-called "old school" technology ... big, blown V8 up front in a rear-wheel drive car ... still RULES :)
