I've heard a rumor that at the Daytona race there will be a new C8 that we've all heard about. I don't know when the race is.
My guess is the Eray. GM is all over electric / hybrid promotion now.
No, it is the Z06. The race is Feb 1, 2021. Some teasers 1.28.21.

on a z51 c8, what color is the wing?
the standard boomerang is shiny black. is there a carbon boomerang option?
also, what are the carbon fiber option pieces?
You have 2 options for the rear wing.
Standard is body color but you can order the side mirrors and wing in carbon flash (their shiny metallic black). But the wing and mirrors all come together as carbon flash that way.
Then there's an option to make the boomerang body color but with that order it also comes several parts that are also body colored, including some winglets in the front grill and the rear grills. If you order a convertible with body color accents then also the vent on top of the engine is body color too.
Why Chevy does it this way is beyond me but its how they do it.
The easiest way to figure all this out is go to the visualizer. You can go through all the options.
At least chrome wheels are not mandatory anymore.
Im seeing these cars all over florida. Theyre good from the front, side profile is ok and rear horrific and large.
Up close to the touch they look much better. I guess thats what happens when cars are designed on a screen.
Basicaly when your standing looking at the car its pretty neat. If youre sitting in another car so you vantage pint is lower not so neat.
That all being said chevy took the risk to go Me and they nailed it in terms of their market, the customer base loves the styling (which is still clearly vette), and the quality of the vehicle. Gotta give Gm kudos for taking a bold step, making a great car that customers love.
I don't think you are man enough for a car like this.
2020 Ferrari F8 dims: 182 x 78 x 48
2020 C8 dims: 182 x 76 x 48.6
So its basically the same dims and only about 1/2 an inch taller and 2 inches narrower. And it has 2 trunks vs one for the F8. The larger rear is to give room for the targa roof to fit in. The F8 has none.
What are the relative wheellbases and weights.

I hope you are right, but is the reveal not for the Cadillac Blackwing?
Relevant stat, F8 wheelbase is 3 inches shorter.
Weights we can argue dry or wet etc, seems like F8 400+lbs lighter.
The two above metrics make for quite different cars even if hp was similar.
As you have said the vette is a Gt car.
As we have seen with porche there are workarounds for wheelbase, and if vette team can get weight down an hp up were really talking, but I doubt theyl get the weight down
does wheelbase matter anymore with advent of rear wheel steering?
YES! And with a manual option too.
An after market supplier has the high wing in any color you want. See the corvette forum
