I've had my Mondial Cab for four years now, and when I first got it the wind noise coming from the connection point at the top of the windshield was really bad. I drove west while the sun was setting and could see daylight, so I got some strips of foam and pulled up the rubber gasket seal at the top of the windshield and put the foam strip under it. This raised the seal and helped alot, but not completely. Then I took a hammer and with the top attached, I gently tapped the metal bar that is under the fabric (just above the seal) in the places where there were still gaps. This removed the gap noise completely.

Now the wind noise that remains comes from the high frequency vibration of the fabric just above the rear view mirror, starting at about 70 mph.

Is there some sort of deflector/spoiler that I can attach to, say, the windhield wipers that will break up the laminar flow over the fabric?

I am interested in any feedback/successes/products. Thank you

I have a '90 Mond. cab. with the same problem, I needed a new top 2 years ago and ferrari of Long Island sent it out... the problem pertsists.. it drives me crazy! definatly not a stupid ques. Ferrari of L.I. 's answer was that they are "all" like that and, that I was lucky that it wasn't leaking water when it rained!! Real nice! There has to be a fix.. the micro adjustments on the latches was not enough to fix the problem.. too tight and you'll break that very fragile and expensive latch.

If u find a fix please e-mail me.. [email protected]

    Thanks,

    Tom.

Do you know of some kind of deflector that clips on to the wiper blade? Something to break up the airflow before it hits the leading edge of the fabric?
