Anyone know of a good restaurant for lunch around Caesars Head? This would be part of a group ride coming down 178, running along 11, then up 276. Something along that route would be ideal.

I will surely take a hard look at that place as it sounds perfect.

It looks nice and is right on my path. Okay with me but I have to consider stopping at a winery with a group of motorcycles. Last time I led this ride a woman rider left in tears half way through because of the severity of the curves. If I have riders drinking on these roads it would not be good.

As far as the wine goes I have to agree. I love NC, SC, TN, GA, VA etc but I am sorry if you are really into wine it's just not here. There is only so much you can overcome with chemistry. In addition to that you have to have the right soil, evening climate and daylight climate. I did an extended ride in Oregon last year and the best wines there were great but well, just not up to wines from California and France.

Reminds me of a great quote from a western novel I read not too long ago:
"What have you got that a man could drink with just a minimum risk of blindness and death."

    :):)

Will do such a drive, although it is not at Cesar's head, next weekend 27th. Up 28 to highlands, which actually is better, then Dinner at Cyprus, in my opinion one of the best restaurant in the SE.
