Caffeine & Octane - First thing in March:

Looked like a great turn out. It seems that alot more Euro sports cars are now showing up....especially 911s.

 

It is, 84 QV GTB - mine. I have had the car about 3 weeks and am still sorting it out. So far the "to do" list includes, in no particular order
1) A/C inop. Checked yesterday and there doesn't seem to be any pressure. PO had it converted to 134 a couple of years ago so I am going to refill and see what happens
2) Heater/defrost only blows on low setting, not on high.
3) Pax side window only opens about 1" then jams.
4) Steering seems a bit loose on center. Going to get it in the air and check out tie rods and/or rack
5) Was running very rich (by smell) I have run a couple of fresh tanks through it with a heavy dose of Techron and this problem seems to have been resolved.

Other things that are on the nice to do list include
1) New fuse block from Birdman replaceall relays
2) Put the tail lights back in the correct position
3) Upgrade the panel lights so I can see them at night

So far the car runs strong considering it's age and miles (144K) A little smoke on start up but not bad.

I had a great time yesterday, I love the fact that this is a total grass roots get together with an incredible mix of cars. See ya'll next month.

Seth, Some tail light on 308s came from the factory back wards like that! Guess they were installed after Guigo came back from a long lunch!!

 

Great that's good to know. I was poking around in there yesterday and it didn't look like anything had ever been disturbed. I guess I'll leave them alone. Thanks.

have some friends with Ferraris and one lambo, they just saw some of these photos, they will show with their cars next month.
2 360 spiders, Modial T, one Lambo G spider, 430 spider, and one F40 that may show up, Dino or 360 for me
