Hey blabber mouth (you know who you are) Do you want to put money on a pro's lap time in my car at Calder? (since you so bravely reneged last time) I've done multiple low 1.04s with my car steady under brakes and through the corners. (of course that's only because I'm going SOOOOO slowly) Are you going to put your money where your mouth is THIS time?
hello needle dick... you know what you are... OK, you drive it, do as many laps as you think you need to... then give Allan the car. If he isn't 1 sec faster than you at Calder, $100 Go to a decent track that requires some skill and he'll be 2 sec faster per 60. As for lap time... your car is now a OHOS with the current set up/alignment/tyres. All soft and comfy at 80% of it's limits, hopeless at 95-100% of it's limits, so your challenge is meaningless.
1 second at calder and only 2.8 sec at phillip island????????? You've changed your tune a bit. You said 5-6 seconds initially at Winton..that was the bet, remember? Gee..I wonder why you have no credibility? hahaha...if you think Allan could only beat my time by one second at Calder, then either you think I'm much better than I am, or Allan's not as good as I think he is. Which is it? Your call. My car is the same as it was last time you made you stupid unfounded assertion, but, as usual, don't let the truth get in the way of a good story, right? Incidentally, I've managed the same lap time with the suspension the way it is now AND the way it was before....so as always, you're talking from somewhere other than your mouth.
Selective truth recovery again PP, common failing of yours isn't it. I never said 5-6 seconds or 2.8 at all, anywhere. I said what the CAR was capable of with proper equipment, set up and a little testing. And the fact that YOU managed the same time no matter what set up is just COMICAL. And no, it's not the same as when I corner weighted it with the stiff springs in, and even if it was, your shocks are crap..... remember how one was leaking when it came back from the Bilstein service?? Oh yes, chose to forget (and ignore) that. You really are a knob PP, a deceitful one too. Credibility... yep, struggling there mate. I'll let you know how bad it is when I've cleared the back log of cars and waiting list too. Bear with me on that one though. (I actually had a bad day, only 2 new customers today). Calder is just two drag strips linked with easy corners. If you were more than 1 second slower there, you'd have to be an absolute knob, given your time in the car. But that's already a known factor I guess.
Do you actually have any idea how little sense that made? I'm pretty good at reading, and even reading between the lines, but I still didn't understand what the point was that you were making. Do i have to copy and paste your comments about winton? You said that my car can do a 1.29 or 1.30 at winton. My repeated best is 1.35, as you knew. So..errrrrr...silly man...that looks like 5-6 seconds to me. Two new customers? Yeah...Joe Viola had HEAPS of customers too. I can see quite a few similarities, actually, except you're not dead yet.
Hey listen, you dope...I did a 1.49 at PI before i ever met you. I've done it with the springs I have now, and i've done it with the springs the car had when you worked on it AND with the challenge springs front and rear. what's your point? None, as always. Going off with little or no information and making yourself look silly. (er) Maybe my shocks are crap, maybe they're not. Dunno...but they've been the same shocks all along and I've always got the same lap time. That goes for PI and Winton too, btw. One last thing, honey, you're the king of deceit! (and delusional and...and....oh god...so many failings, so few brains!)
The point I'm repeating is that you have selective truth recovery. And the context gets all lost and distorted with you too. I don't give a rats what times YOU do in YOUR car as it is NOW or ever since YOU OWNED IT.. I do know what it COULD do if DRIVEN and SET UP to race levels by people that know what they're doing (no not me, I'm an idiot remember). Your driving has been well hidden, and when you do go out, you mince around and say you're not trying. I have never based any time estimate on what you say you can do.... because we all know what you say/do has no credentials. You're just a serial 5h1t stirrer. The only way to shut you up is to prove it to you, and you keep ducking out that one so far. Same day/ same equipment test is what we need... so when is it going to be....
Just came back after a short absence. It feels so good to be home. night ma, night pa, night john boy
ooops...shame on me for missing that post! ummmmmahhhhhh....you called me a mean name!!!! Careful,Wayne might ban you! sticks and stones....etc
just to add a bit of humor. Noske did a .58 seconds at Calder in my LM. I know because I was in it at the time. Wish I could do that
Now you're talking Gil.... Lets do the challenge with your car... Allan driving. Aggressive alignment/set up. New/ V Good tyres. 102 RON Fuel Calder 55 PI 1.30 Winton 1.20 Sandown 1.05
and the challenge is what? I STILL don't see you putting your money where your mouth is on a realistic challenge....AGAIN. You're the queen of backing down, really.
yeah, sorry about the backing DOWN, I heard how you much prefer blokes backing IN to you. And the challenge is to show my laptime predictions are pretty good isn't it? Maybe I'm so stupid I don't realise it myself. Or maybe that's you? Either way a potentially interesting thread is being spoiled.
I have to admit, I was very impressed with Noske, as he just knew what to do. He was very aggresive wth the LM, but it just seemed to love it. The more he man-handled the car, the more it seemed to like it. And after seeing the inside's of the gearbox, I now understand the whole thing about "giving it heaps". The only problem I have with letting other people drive my car (LM), is that if they put it into a wall, they walk away and I'm left in tears picking up the pieces.
True Gil, very true. I really enjoyed my laps in your car with Noske too. 1.35 that day at the Island with Noskes' radio lead going horizontal to the windscreen under braking!! As much as I liked Noske, and still do, Allan has barely scratched the Ferraris he's raced and is very mechanically sympathetic, while Noske killed the car mechanically and bashed it about a bit more. Allan did nearly kill his ute, but that's a good thing! And Allan did just bust Stephens 550 clutch too..... but that car on Hoosiers and with 540 BHP was always looking for a new fuse..... Did you get any 18" wheels yet, or still the 17's... tyres ??
I am often quite surprised by people wanting to drive other people's cars. I personally find it one of the most nerve racking activities I must undertake (at Sandown I am often asked to drive cars to demo lines, techniques etc). The whole concept of scratching another's pride and joy is bad enough, to put one in to a wall would be horrific (regardless whether the cash was in the account to fix it). So simple rules, don't drive a car hard unless you can afford to fix it. Don't loan a car unless you can [emotionally and financially]afford to lose it.
