Has anyone had any luck finding insurance for your Cali for a reasonable price? We're a touch over $3000 a year right now and rising!

It is a combination of you (tickets, credit rating, etc.), your other lines of insurance, (multi line discount), location, and the company's loss experience with that model. Might look at Fireman's Fund, but would think whatever Company you use for everything else would give you the best discount.

Our carrier for the other cars won't insure Ferraris. All the other items you mention are top notch so not issues there. Agreed it would be good to find carriers who loves Ferraris as much as more "everyday" cars.

Liberty Mutual quoted me less for a 2013 California than for my 06 F430. Actually about the same as my former 2012 911 cabriolet -- $1200 per year. We have high limits due to our umbrella policy.

We have many insurance policies with State Farm - auto, homeowners, umbrella liability, personal articles and one life policy. My wife and I also have clear driving records, no accidents and very high FICO scores. They are adding my Cali T to the auto policy for an additional $3,300 per year. I live in Houston Texas so I'm sure the premium cost reflects the insurers risk experience in the area. Sounds like $3K per year is a pretty good deal.

I think you can get a discount if you can show proof of two large Dobermans in the back seat when parked away from your home. Only a problem on rainy days as the top needs to be down....

State Farm for me... Great credit, no accidents, multiline, etc. Live smack in the middle of the city and fairly young (34) and am around 3k/year.

These insurances u are talkin about in the USA are out of mind for us in Europe. And I mean they are freakin CHEAP

Do limited km per year come with these or u can also do as many a u want ?

No limitations of any kind even in security ?

Do they ask u to have a camera installed to see how u drive ?

It all depends but generally I'd say most have some sort of mileage limitation and/or range. Some carriers underwrite the car as a daily driver while others probably treat them as weekend cars. It all depends...

My quote from Encompass Insurance Company for my Cali when it arrives is $3,200/yr based on it not being my daily driver but if I do drive it often the mileage from home to work being 6 miles round trip. There is no mileage limitation overall. Once this is set up in the first year it just continues from year to year. There is no checking by the insurance company later on to see if the mileage represented at the beginning is accurate. There is no speed monitor of any kind including no camera or software. (Frankly, I am not sure I would buy a performance or exotic car if I could not make it perform without some kind of penalty.) I have all of my personal policies bundled with Encompass and have a clean driving record with last speeding ticket being about 35 years ago and last moving violation with a point against my license being about 12 years ago. If I do get a speeding ticket in the Cali I am sure it will impact my auto policy but only with a premium increase and maybe a stern warning from my broker. I met some Swiss bankers at the Geneva auto show in 2013 who explained what they had to do to buy a new Bentley and insure it and those machinations pretty much made me reflect how lucky we are here in the states when it comes to these very special cars, and really it is the activity we have with them and other like minded people which makes all of this so special. Even when our cars are standing still. I can get some track time at Laguna Seca if I want it BUT would not tell my broker about that and hope for clean runs. For me, it is the beauty of the car first, the sound second and the performance third. It is not a casual, so what experience for me so I would pay much more than $3,200 if I have to do that. Fine cars, wine, shotguns and watches pretty much fill my plate and insurance is just an add on I have to pay in order to enjoy them.

It depends on the color of the car, as black is invisible to the spectrum, the rates are much cheaper. While white which is all the colors is VERY EXPENSIVE as it is not MSA

Except the 458. I have all my policies with Allstate but had to switch to State Farm when I bought my italia last year as it was on the "no fly list"

Just got the actual premium on my Cali T. $2550/year with State Farm. We have a multi policy discount, but that is the best I've seen on here yet.
