Got a 2015 Cali T, the top sometimes doesn’t go down. The windows go down, the back half of the roof folds up onto the front half but the trunk never opens up like it should. So it stops there and says roof error. I can close it back up from there as normal. If I try again, same thing. Then later on the top will work as normal again. Any ideas what might cause this intermittently? Maybe once every couple weeks. I always have the battery tender connected when the car is parked if that matters.

It might be worth disconnecting/reconnecting the battery and then following the lock/unlock reset procedure in the owners manual. Otherwise, it could be an intermittent fault on a sensor, loose wire or low hydraulic fluid level. Also, the roof doesn’t like operating if the car is parked on a slope or on uneven ground.

Thanks, ground is level so not that. I’ll check out the reset procedure.

Yeah, mine did that soon after I got it new and it had sensor problems. I think there is a simpler reset sequence with the key fob, check older threads on this. I know I had to use that one on mine initially but the problem continued to recur and ultimately it was sensors.

Thanks for the help everyone, I did get it working again. I did not have to disconnect the battery. I did a reset procedure the dealer provided:

On the keyfob, press lock, then unlock. Do this 3 times total. It should beep accordingly with each press before doing the next press. Then press and release the trunk button. Then open/close the trunk.
