Has anyone tried to calibrate the tire pressure on a 575M? The book says to push the calibration button next to the hood latch and you'll get a Y on the screen on the dash and then drive it 20 miles while the tire pressure is calibrated. It don't work. Any information on this would greatly be appreciated. Plus I don't get the Y on the screen. And the tires are all the same pressure. And this was done with the tires cold and the engine shut off as the book suggested.
The key has to be in position II. Hold the button until you see a green signal and then drive. I never heard anything about 20 miles, but it does take some time for the tires to warm and calibrate. If you get nothing at all, you may want to check and see if previous owner pulled the fuse. Defered maintence method for a service to the tire pressure monitor is to pull the fuse and not worry about it, however, if I recall, that fuse is shared with the electric seat. I do not have a manual in front of me, so forgive me if I am off on that.
