how much does this generally run, who does it, and is there a difference between 1 guy doing it an another? minnesota if it matters
I cannot answer you question but I assume someone at this website can. http://www.avsforum.com/ Good luck!
Hi, A few years back I picked up a DVD called "Video Essentials" to do this on my 55" monitor. It basically steps you through the whole process - Set black (and the mysterious "blacker than black"), contrast, brightness, and colors etc. It'll also help you set up your audio system (You need a DB meter). It wasn't cheap (~$50 from memory), but does a great job if you're reasonably patient (contrast & brightness are very interactive for example.....) HTH, cheers, Ian PS - You may want to start with setting up the monitor itself - It has some very cool gun alignment tools etc - Before moving on to calibration.
